Dr Suvarna Chandrappagari is an IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer working as Commissioner, Fisheries, Government of Telangana, India. She is an agronomist academically, Doctorate in Rural Development and a Hubert H Humphrey (Fulbright) Fellow (2005-2006) from Cornell University, USA. She worked in various capacities in the Forest and Rural Development Departments with focus on community based natural resource management and equity issues. She published papers on natural resource management based subjects in national and international journals. She attended international conferences, symposia, and study tours in several countries.
